After the hairclips and the headbands, there were only missing the ponytails : )

This week I have something new at the shop - Hello Kitty cake toppers =^.^=
These toppers can be used as cake or cupcake toppers, as a centerpiece or as a favor : )
I'll attach a wooden stick (18 cm / 7 inches long) to each kitty, which you can replace or remove. This means you can use them over and over again!

Last week I had a very special order. I was asked to make a name banner with a little angel on the top. It is to be offered to a little girl on her first communion. It was the first time I ever made an angel and it was love at first sight ♥

Pastéis de Tentúgal »» Tentúgal pastries
Bom dia!
Good morning! Today my day started with a lot of sweetness eating a delicious Tentúgal pastry. And the best part is that I made it myself!
Some time ago, my friend Joana told me that she used to make Tentúgal pastries at home (Tentúgal is a portuguese small town were these pastries began to be made). I really got curious because these pastries have the reputation of being very difficult to make. So she told me that I only needed to go to the supermarket and buy filo pastry and add some custard cream ... et voilá!
So I bought the filo pastry. To be honest I had never heard about this pastry that looks more like paper.
Retire do lume e deixe arrefecer.
Agora a massa:
Pegue numa dessas partes e separe as folhas.
For those of you who want the recipe, here's how I did.
First you have to prepare the custard cream:
Place 8 egg yolks in a saucepan and add 8 tablespoons of sugar and stir well with a wooden spoon. Add 8 tablespoons of water and stir well. Bring this mixture to a low heat (always stiring) until it boils and begins to thicken. Remove from heat and let cool.
Now the pastry:
Unpack three sheets of filo dough/pastry. Place the sheets on each other and cut into four equal parts (you get 4 rectangles).
Take one of these parts, and separate the sheets. Brush each sheet with melted butter, and place them on top of each other. Place a spoonful of custard cream at one of the ends of the wrap. Then fold the ends up.
Repeat until you finish the ingredients.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the pastries on it.
Bake at 170° C for 10 minutes.
