No dia 7 de Fevereiro foi o baptizado e festa de aniversário do nosso Francisco !

Custa-me muito acreditar que já tem 1 aninho, o meu bebé.

 

A cerimónia religiosa foi na Sé Nova de Coimbra e a recepção e festa de aniversário foi no Restaurante Manuel Júlio em Santa Lúzia. Estava tudo óptimo!

Foram de uma simpatia extrema, atendendo a todos os meus pedidos (eu quando quero, sou muito chata) e a comida estava deliciosa.

 

A Igreja estava definida, não podia ser outra. O restaurante foi fácil de escolher.

Tive muitas dúvidas foi na hora de escolher a roupa.

Só encontrava ou coisas muito abebezadas (tipo cueiros e fofos acetinados) ou roupa de homenzinho (fato com calças e casaco).

 

A verdade é que nem gostava de uma opção, nem da outra.

Por isso, optei por uma roupa mais "normal".

A maioria das pessoas achou que ele ia muito simples, eu ADOREI!!!

A roupa mandei vir da Vertbaudet e os sapatos fui comprar à Chicco.

 

On the 7th February it was our Francisco's Christening and Birthday party!

It's hard to believe that he is already 1, my small baby.

 

The religious ceremony was at Sé Nova de Coimbra and the reception and birthday party was at Restaurante Manuel Júlio in Santa Lúzia. Everything was great!

They were extremely nice, meeting all my requests (when I want, I'm very demanding) and the food was delicious.

 

The Church was defined, it coul not be other. The restaurant was easy to choose.
I had many doubts was when choosing my baby's clothes.
I only found things that were too babyish (swadding-cloths like long dresses) or little man clothing (suits with pants and jacket). 

 

The truth is that I didn't like an option or the other.
So I decided for a more "normal" clothing.
Most people thought he was very simple, I LOVED how he loked!!!
The clothing came from Vertbaudet and the shoes I bought at Chicco.

Decidi decorar eu mesma o salão para lhe dar um ar mais de festa :)
Comprei balões (com estrelinhas) e pompons na loja Happy Brindes & Festas.
Eu e as miúdas recortámos estrelinhas azuis e colocámos uma em cada copo para identificar o lugar de cada convidado nas mesas. As miúdas é que escreveram o nome de cada pessoa :)
Acho que são os pequenos pormenores que tornam as coisas especiais. Eu adorei o resultado final(mas sou suspeita)!

I decided to decorate the restaurant room myself to look more of a party :)
I bought balloons (with stars) and pompoms in a facebook store named Happy Brindes & Festas.
Me and the girls cut out lots of little blue stars and we put one in each water glass to identify the place of each guest at the table. The girls wrote the names of each person :)
I think it's the little details that make things special. I loved the end result (but I am suspect)!

Como tínhamos muitas crianças entre os convidados, decidi criar um espaço para brincarem.
Ou melhor 2 espaços um para as maiores (entre 7 e 10 anos) do qual as miúdas ficaram encarregues: levaram lápis de cor, canetas de feltro, folhas em branco e jogos!
E outro para os mais pequenos (entre 1 e 4 anos), infelizmente ainda não tenho foto deste espaço, mas quando tiver coloco aqui!

As we had many children amongst the guests, I decided to create a space for them to play.
Or rather two spaces one for the oldest (between 7 and 10 years old) from which the girls were in charge: they took crayons, pens, blank sheets and games!
And one for the little ones (from 1 to 4 years), we still have no photo of this space, but as soon as I have it I will put it here!

E finalmente aqui estão as lembranças que fizemos! Digo isto literalmente, pois só as fotos é que foram mandadas fazer. Eu e as miúdas recortámos papel craft, recortámos papel de impressão, recortámos as estrelas em feltro, colámos e escrevemos à mão todos os 40 postais!

 

And finally here are the favors we made! I mean that literally, because only the photos were sent to do. Me and the girls cut out craft paper, printing paper, cut out the felt stars, glued and hand wrote all 40 cards!

O 1º aniversário do Francisco »» Francisco's 1st birthday

No dia 2 comemorou-se cá em casa o 1º aniversário do nosso bebé, que já não é assim tão bebé!

Parece que este ano passou a voar.

Deixaste de ser um bebé pequenino para seres este filhote incrível.

Agradeço a Deus ter-me dado mais este tesouro maravilhoso!

A nossa família não estaria completa sem ti!

On the 2nd february were commemorated our baby's 1st anniversary!

Aqui estão finalmente as fotos do quarto do nosso Francisco!

Ele já está no quarto desde que viemos de férias, portanto desde final de Agosto (quando tinha 6 meses).

Praticamente tudo o que vêm já existia cá em casa :)

Esta divisão era o nosso escritório e já cá estava a estante antiga de mogno (que o meu sogro pintou de branco), o sofá cama Hemnes do Ikea, a estante de parede também do Ikea, a poltrona Ektorp Tullsta com uma capa castanha do Ikea, o cortinado Matilda do Ikea.

Por detrás da porta havia um espaçinho que tem uma Billy também do Ikea e o candeeiro é também adivinhem, do Ikea.

O cortinado e o candeeiro foram personalizados por mim com fitas e estrelinhas azuis

Comprei a capa de edredon e o tapete no Continente porque combinava na perfeição com a decoração.

Os quadrinhos que estão na parede foram feitos por mim. Comprei-os na Primark, mas forrei-os com tecido e cosi aplicações em feltro: uma nuvem, uma estrela e uma lua!

As almofadas em forma de estrela e nuvem também fui eu que fiz :)

Here are at last the photos of Francisco's nursery!
He is already in the room since we came on vacation, so since the end of August (when he was 6 months old).
Virtually almost everything you see already existed here at home :)

This room was our office and my craft room and most of the furniture was already in here! The old mahogany bookcase (which my father-in-law painted white), the Hemnes sofa bed from Ikea, the shelf on the wall also from Ikea, the Ektorp Tullsta armchair with a brown cover also from Ikea and the Matilda curtain from Ikea.
Behind the door there was a little space that has a Billy also from Ikea and the lamp is also you guessed it: from Ikea.

The curtain and the lamp have been customized by me with ribbons and little blue stars

 

I bought the duvet cover and the carpet from Continente because it matched perfectly with the decor.
The frames that are on the wall were made by me. I bought them at Primark, but I lined them with fabric and sewed some felt applications: a cloud, a star and a moon! 

I also made the star and cloud pillows.

Este ano houve 2 festas de aniversário cá em casa. A já tradicional com a família e alguns amigos no dia 1 de janeiro, e uma festa surpresa só com amigas da escola no dia 3 !!!

O meu aniversário (dia 2), mais uma vez ficou escondido entre as festas, mas sinceramente não me importo nada! As festas são das crianças, e daqui a poucos anos provavelmente já nem vão querer festejar o aniversário com a família toda! Por isso tenho que aproveitar agora.

Eu adoro planear e organizar as festas, faço praticamente TUDO: rissóis, croquetes, empadas, bôla de carne, mousses e sobremesas, pasteis de Tentúgal, salame de chocolate ... e claro os bolos de aniversário!

Aqui ficam as fotos das festas e dos bolos! Ah e no primeiro dia de aulas levam sempre um bolo caseiro para a escola :)

This year there were 2 birthday parties here at home. The traditional one with family and some friends on the 1st January, and a surprise party with friends from school on the 3rd !!!
My birthday (2nd january), again was hidden between the parties, but honestly I do not care! The parties are for children, and in a few years they probably will not even want to celebrate their birthday with the whole family! So I have to enjoy now.
I love planning and organizing parties, I make virtually EVERYTHING: patties, croquettes, pies, meat ball, mousses and desserts, pastries of Tentúgal, chocolate salami ... and of course birthday cakes!
Here are the photos of parties and cakes! Oh, and on the first day of  school after the holidays they always take a homemade cake to school :)

Dia 1 de Janeiro fez 10 anos que tive as minhas gémeas, a Carolina e a Beatriz!

O inicio da gravidez correu muito bem, nem enjoos nem má disposição, só sono, muito sono.

Até que às 30 semanas tive ameaça de parto prematuro e fiquei internada em repouso ABSOLUTO, o que significa sem me puder levantar da cama nem para comer nem para ir à casa de banho. Fiquei assim a saber o que é uma arrastadeira, objecto para mim até então completamente desconhecido!

Às 34 semanas tiraram-me a medicação. Normalmente o corpo demora um tempinho a recompor-se, mas não foi o caso. E elas nasceram. A Beatriz com 1,910 kg e a Carolina com 1,605 kg. A Carolina esteve uns dias na incubadora, mas só por precaução. Depois continuei internada mais 18 dias. Vim para casa ainda ela só tinha 1, 900kg. Eu já não aguentava mais estar na maternidade. Estava a dar em doida, só chorava. A médica acedeu. Viemos para casa. Casa esta que eu já não via há quase 2 meses. Senti-me estranha, parecia tudo novo e irreal.

Isolei-me do mundo, entrei em depressão pós-parto, fiquei com medo de conduzir, não conseguia sair sozinha com as duas, eram tão pequenas, tão frágeis!

Era eu e elas o dia todo, mas estava tão só. Eu passava os dias a tratar delas. Tínhamos uma rotina planeada, elas mamavam em horários intercalados. Quando terminava tudo com uma, começava a tratar da outra. Mama, suplemento, mudar a fralda, adormecer. Mama, suplemento, mudar a fralda, adormecer.  Ele ajudava imenso quando chegava a casa. Eu tinha um tempinho para tomar banho e ia dormir. Ele tratava da última mamada do dia, para eu puder dormir.

Passaram 10 anos e por muito que gostasse que continuassem pequeninas para sempre, estou profundamente orgulhosa pela forma como estão a crescer. Sinto-me grata e abençoada por todos os momentos que passamos em família e pela alegria que me trazem todos os dias.

On the 1st of January my twin girls turned 10!
The early pregnancy went very well, never felt sick just sleepy, too sleepy.
Until at week 30 I got into premature labor and was hospitalized in ABSOLUTE rest, which means I could not get out of bed to eat or to go to the bathroom. So now I know what  a bedpan is, an object completely unknown to me until then!
At 34 weeks they took away my medication. Normally the body takes a little time to get back to normal, but it was not the case. And they were born. Beatriz was 1.910 kg and Carolina 1.605 kg. Carolina was a few days in the incubator, but just to make sure everything was alright. Then we continued hospitalized for more 18 days.

When I came home she only had 1, 900kg. I no longer could stay at the hospital, I was going crasy and just cried. The doctor agreed. We came home. Home that I had not seen in almost two months. I felt strange, everything seemed new and unrealistic.
I isolated myself from the world, went into postpartum depression, I was afraid to drive, could not go out alone with the two, they were so small, so fragile!

 

It was me and them all day long, but I was so alone. I spent the days taking care of them. We had a planned routine, they nursed in interleaved schedules. When I finished everything with one, I would began to take care of the other. Breastfeeding, bottle, diaper changing, sleep. Breastfeeding, bottle, diaper changing, sleep.

My husband helped a lot when he came home. I had a few minutes to shower and go to sleep. He took care of the last feeding of the day, so I could sleep.

10 years went by and as much as I would like them to continue wee forever, I am deeply proud of the way they are growing. I am grateful and blessed for every moment we spend as family and the joy they bring me every single day.

Bom Natal »» Merry Christmas

Tudo o que desejo para o Natal é AMOR e SAÚDE!

Desde que tive filhos que deixei de fazer qualquer questão de receber presentes no Natal (mas não me importo). Não é “género”… é a mais pura verdade. O melhor presente de Natal para mim, nos últimos 9 anos, tem sido vê-las abrir os presentes que um Pai Natal atento lhes oferece. A incerteza da proveniência dos presentes, o ar de surpresa, a felicidade, a excitação… as gargalhadas, a partilha, o nosso pequeno almoço de dia 25… é para mim o momento mais alto do ano.

E este ano vai ser ainda mais especial, pois é o primeiro Natal do nosso Francisco!

 

Há 2 Natais elas perguntaram-me se o Pai Natal existia de verdade. Porque havia meninos lá na escola que diziam que o Pai Natal não existia e quem dava os presentes eram os pais. Não podia mentir, por isso disse que existia uma MÃE e um PAI Natal que gostavam muito delas.

Agora este ano pedi-lhes para fingirem que acreditam no Pai Natal outra vez, para que o Francisco acredite também. Elas concordaram, porque é muito giro acreditar no Pai Natal :)

 

 

All I want for Christmas is LOVE and HEALTH!

Since I had children I stopped wishing for gifts at Christmas (but I don't mind). It is not "just saying" ... it is the honest truth. The best Christmas gift to me for the last 9 years has been to see them open presents that a watchful Santa offers. The uncertainty of the source of gifts, the air of surprise, happiness, excitement ... the laughter, sharing, our breakfast on the 25th ... is for me the high point of the year.

And this Christmas it will be even more special because it is our Francisco's first Christmas!

2 year ago they asked me if Santa Claus really existed. Because there were some friends at school who said that Santa does not exist and who gave gifts were the parents. I could not lie, so I said that there was a MOTHER and FATHER Christmas that loved them very much.
Now this year I asked them to pretend they believe in Father Christmas again, so that Francisco also believes. They agreed, because it is very good to believe in Santa :)

Pizza de lulas »» Squid Pizza

 

O nosso jantar hoje foi a pizza preferida das miúdas: pizza de lulas feita em casa, claro!

É super fácil. Aqui têm a receita:

 

Dinner tonight was the girls' favorite pizza: Homemade Squid pizza!

It's super easy. Here is the recipe:

 

Faz-se um refogado com uma cebola picada, azeite, alho, sal e colorau.

Junta-se tomate aos pedaços e um pouco de água.

Quando ferver, junta-se pedaços de lula e rodelas de chouriço.

Deixa-se estufar 20 minutos.

 

Make a stew with chopped onion, olive oil, garlic, salt and paprika.
Add bits of tomato and a little water.
When boiling, add squid cut into little bits and chorizo slices.
Allow to stew for 20 minutes.

 

Comprar pão cru. Aqui na padaria posso pedir por exemplo 4 pães em massa. Há muitas variedades de pão, compram a que mais gostarem.

Eu comprei 4 pães de bola.

Forram uma assadeira com papel vegetal e colocam lá os pães esticadinhos, como na foto.

 

Buy raw bread. Here at the bakery I can ask for example for 4 raw breads. There are many varieties of bread, buy the one that you like best.
I bought 4 large breads.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper and place the bread dough there, as pictured.

 

 

 

 

 

Por cima da massa de pão colocam o estufado de lulas escorrido do molho.

Polvilham queijo mozarela ralado e azeitonas para decorar.

Vai ao forno uns 20 minutos para ficar douradinha. E está pronta!

 

Over the bread dough put the squid stew but without the sauce.
Sprinkle grated mozzarella and olives to decorate.

Mãe a tempo inteiro »» Full time mom

 

"Um filho nasce e a vida de uma mulher transforma-se. Durante os meses que se seguem, estar 24 horas por dia com aquele ser pequeno e frágil é assoberbante mas poucas são as mães que abdicariam de cada momento.
Terminada a licença de maternidade, a maioria acaba por regressar ao trabalho, mas há mães que decidem ficar em casa e tornarem-se cuidadoras a tempo inteiro. Por opção ou por força das circunstâncias ser mãe a full time é a sua profissão nos primeiros anos de vida das suas crianças."

Li este artigo há dias e não quis deixar de dar a minha visão da questão, porque sou com muito orgulho uma Mãe a tempo inteiro!

No meu caso, foi uma opção mais ou menos consciente.

Num tempo distante fui professora, trabalhei em várias escolas por este país fora. Casei e decidimos comprar casa aqui (longe da nossa família) por ser perto do trabalho dele. Continuei a trabalhar até que fiquei grávida de gémeas!

Elas nasceram no dia 1 de Janeiro, o concurso de professores contratados foi em Fevereiro e eu não concorri.

Foi esta decisão, naquele momento que acabou por decidir o futuro.

Na minha cabeça só martelava o que a pediatra da maternidade me disse uma vez: se a senhora puder ficar em casa com elas 1 ano era bom, mas se puder ficar 3 anos era óptimo.

Nos anos seguintes concorri, mas nunca mais fiquei colocada.

Por isso fui ficando em casa.

Não foi fácil, não tenham ilusões! Aliás ao principio foi mesmo muito difícil. Tinha 2 bebés prematuras para cuidar 24 horas por dia, uma casa para limpar, montes de roupa para lavar e passar, comida para fazer ... e a família longe.

Passaram quase 10 anos desde essa altura e nunca me arrependi.

Vi-as crescer, ajudei a desenvolverem-se, protegi-as muito, eu sei!

O salário que recebi foi em géneros: beijos, abraços e sorrisos.

 

Agora este ano nasceu o nosso Francisquinho e quero fazer por ele tudo ou mais que fiz por elas. Aliás agora ele tem 3 mamãs!

Sinto-me privilegiada por puder ser mãe a tempo inteiro!

I read this article a few days ago and wanted to give my view of the matter, because I am a very proud  full time mother!
In my case, it was a more or less conscious choice.
In a distant time I was a teacher, I worked in several schools all over this country. I got married and we decided to buy a home here (away from our family) to be close to his work. I continued working until I found out I was pregnant with twins!

They were born on January 1. The contest for hired teachers was in February and I didn't apply.

This decision at that moment was what ultimately decided the future.
In my head just pounded what the pediatrician once told me: if you stay home with them 1 year it will be good, but if you stay 3 years it would be great.
I applied all the following years, but never got a teaching place again.
So I stayed home.
It was not easy, have no illusions! Actually at the beginning it was really difficult. I had two premature babies to care for 24 hours a day, a house to clean, piles of laundry and ironing, food to make ... and the family miles away.
It's been almost 10 years since then and I never regreted it.
I watched them grow, I helped develop themselves, protected them too much, I know!
The salary that I received was in kisses, hugs and smiles.

 

Now this year our Francisquinho was born and I want to do everything for him as I did for them.

In fact he now has 3 Mommies!
I feel privileged to have the possibility to be a full time mom!

Doce de ovos »» Custard Cream

 

Para o aniversário do meu marido fiz um bolo de Pão de Ló recheado com doce de ovos e com cobertura de chocolate - a pedido das gémeas! Tinha mesmo que ser este bolo, não podia ser outro!

No entanto, mudei a receita de doce de ovos e acho que para melhor!

A minha receita que partilhei neste post aqui, leva água e agora em vez de água fiz com leite. A ideia não foi minha, admito! Retirei do blog da Luísa, que por sinal adoro e sigo assiduamente :) 

Modéstia aparte ficou divinal!

 

Aqui fica então a nova receita do doce de ovos:

Coloque 6 gemas num tachinho e junte 6 colheres de sopa de açúcar e mexa bem com uma colher de pau. Acrescente 6 colheres de sopa de leite e mexa bem. Leve esta mistura ao lume brando (sempre a mexer) até ferver e começar a engrossar. Retire do lume e deixe arrefecer.

The new Custard cream recipe:

Place 6 egg yolks in a saucepan and add 6 tablespoons of sugar and stir well with a wooden spoon. Add 6 tablespoons of milk and stir well. Bring this mixture to a low heat (always stiring)  until it boils and begins to thicken. Remove from heat and let cool.

No post anterior falei dos essenciais para o recém- nascido, ou seja tudo o que comprei, me emprestaram ou ofereceram aquando da minha primeira gravidez, a das gémeas!

Desta segunda gravidez já tinha a grande maioria dos essenciais e foi bem mais fácil!

A verdade é que da segunda vez estamos mais descontraídos. Já sabemos o que nos espera e claro que apesar de querermos o melhor para os nossos filhos, aprendemos que não vale muito investir imenso dinheiro em coisas que vão ser usadas por muito pouco tempo. Por esta altura também temos imensas outras coisas onde gastar o dinheiro, seja com a escola dos mais velhos, actividades, roupas, etc

 

In the previous post I talked about the newborn essentials, everything we bought, we borrowed or was offered me during my first pregnancy, of the twins!

Então agora foi assim:

O carrinho de gémeos e os ovinhos já tínhamos vendido e por isso comprámos um em segunda mão, também da Bébé Confort por continuarmos a achar que são dos melhores do mercado!

A banheira com muda fraldas tinha ido para o lixo, de tão rota que estava (a parte do muda fraldas, obviamente). Mas a minha amiga Ana ofereceu-me uma novinha :)

A cadeira da papa estava na garagem, foi só dar uma lavagem! Parece novinha em folha.

A cama de grades também ainda tínhamos na garagem e estava óptima!

A roupa de cama, almofadas e toalhas ainda estava toda guardada, foi só lavar e passar - eu sou daquelas que guarda tudo!!!

 

So this time it was like this:
We had already sold the twins stroller and car seats so we bought one second hand, also from Bébé Confort as we still believe they are the best on the market!
The bathtub with diaper changer had gone to waste. The girls managed to tear it apart! But my friend Ana gave me a brand new one :)
The highchairs were in the garage, it only needed a good wash! Looks brand new.
The cribs were also still in the garage and they are as good as new !
Bed linens, pillows and towels were all still kept away, they only needed washing and ironing - I am one of those who keeps everything !!!

Para o meu Francisco comprei um saco das fraldas que adoro da Tuc Tuc.

Uma espreguiçadeira de banho da Bébé Confort (um must!) porque a outra tinha sido emprestada.

Um ninho (que ele detesta, não gosta de se sentir preso).

Uma escova de cabelo da  Bébé Confort azulinha, mas confesso que utilizo mais a da Chicco, que apesar de ser cor-de-rosa é super macia!

Voltámos a comprar biberons Tigex , pois apartir dos 3 meses teve de começar a fazer suplemento.

Desta vez alguns amigos emprestaram-nos uma espreguiçadeira, uma almofada de amamentação, um esterilizador (que adoro e recomendo!) e uma bomba para tirar o leite da Medela!

 

E de puericultura estamos feitos! Agora só faltam as roupinhas, mantinhas, fraldinhas, .... e a malinha da maternidade para a mamã e para o bebé :)

 

For my Francisco I just bought a Tuc Tuc diaper bag that I felt in love with.
A Bébé Confort bath recliner (a must have!) Because the other had been borrowed.
A sleeping sack (which he hates, does not like to feel trapped).
A blue hairbrush from Bébé Confort. But I confess that I use Chicco's, despite being pink is super soft!
We again bought Tigex bottles.
This time some friends lent us a lounge chair, a breastfeeding cushion , a sterilizer (which I love and recommend!) And a breast pump from Medela!

And we were done with childcare products! Now it's only missing the baby clothes, baby blankets, baby burp cloths, .... and the suitcase to take to the hospital with all for the new mom and baby :)

Neste momento tenho 3 amigas grávidas - todas à espera de meninos - e não sei porquê todas me perguntam o que é que é preciso comprar! Talvez seja por eu já ter 3 filhos, será?

Lembro-me quando ainda na primeira gravidez (quase há 10 anos atrás) de pesquisar o que precisava de comprar para o enxoval das gémeas e tentar compilar as várias listas que as amigas e familiares me iam dando e confesso que às tantas ficava completamente perdida, sem saber por onde começar!

Como mãe de primeira viagem e ainda por cima de gémeas optámos pelo básico e essencial, o que mesmo assim é muita coisa!

Tivemos ainda a ajuda preciosa dos avós babados e amigos fantásticos que nos emprestaram e ofereceram montes de coisas!

 

Right now I have three pregnant friends - all waiting for boys - and I don't know why but they all ask me what to buy! Maybe it's because I already have 3 children!

I remember my first pregnancy (almost 10 years ago) and I was asking what to buy for the twins and had a difficult time trying to compile the various lists that friends and family were giving me and I confess that at some point I was at a lost!

As a new mother and of twins I went for the basic and essential, which is a lot!

We also had the invaluable help of grandparents and fantastic friends who lent us and offered lots of things!

Para passear:

- 2 ovinhos da Bébé Confort

- carrinho de gémeos da Bébé Confort com todos os extras, capa disto, capa daquilo, forra de inverno (que deu um jeitão) e claro os redutores- obrigatório para prematuros!

- saco das fraldas com compartimentos para tapete da muda, biberons, etc que acabou por ter de ser substituído por um saco de desporto do Snoopy, pois a tralha era tanta que não cabia no fantástico saco das fraldas que me tinham oferecido!

 

For sightseeing:

- 2 Bébé Confort baby car seats

- Bébé Confort twins stroller with all the extras and of course the obligatory baby-hugg inlay for premature babies!

- Diaper bag with compartments for diaper changes, baby bottles, etc which eventually had to be replaced by a Snoopy sports bag because the stuff was so that we didn't fit everything in the fantastic diaper bag I had!

Para dormir:

- 2 camas de grades da Trama + colchões ortopédicos

- 4 conjuntos para as camas de grades, o que inclui: forra impermeável para o colchão, lençóis, edredons, capas para os edredons e protector lateral para as grades

- 2 almofadas anti-sufoco da Vertbaudet

- 2 ninhos, que comprámos posteriormente porque as miúdas destapavam-se de noite e os ninhos mantêm-nos quentinhos a noite toda!

To sleep:

- 2 cribs from Trama + orthopedic mattresses

- 4 sets for the cribs, which includes: waterproof sheets, sheets, duvets and duvets' covers and bumper pads 

- 2 anti-suffocation pillows from Vertbaudet

Para o banho:

- banheira com muda fraldas

- espreguiçadeira de banho

- termómetro para medir a temperatura da água

- 4 toalhas de banho com capuz

- creme muda-fraldas Bepanthene ou Halibut

- tesoura corta-unhas e escova de cabelo da Chicco e cotonetes específicos de bebé

- kit de higiene: ofereceram-me a gama da Mustela, que infelizmente não pude usar pois as miúdas tinham pele atópica. Assim, tive que correr à farmácia e comprar a conselho da pediatra da maternidade: Oleoban (gel de banho híper mega gorduroso, mas fantástico) e o creme de corpo Exomega da Aderma

 

For the bath:
- Bathtub with diaper changer

- Thermometer for measuring the water temperature
- 4 bath towels with hood
- Bepanthene or Halibut nappy care
- Chicco scissors and nail clippers, hair brush
- Hygiene kit: I was offered many Mustela products, which unfortunately I could not use because the girls had atopic skin. So I had to run to the pharmacy and buy: Oleoban (bath gel hyper mega greasy, but fantastic) and body cream Exomega of Aderma

Para papar:

- montes de biberons Tigex (para mim continuam a ser os melhores)

- escovilhão para lavar os biberons

- 2 cadeiras da papa Peg Perego (as melhores do mercado naquela altura)

- 2 conjuntos de prato + taça + copo

 

To eat:
- lots of Tigex bottles (for me still the best)
- bottle brush to wash the bottles
- 2 Peg Perego highchairs  (the best on the market at that time)
- 2 sets of plate + cup

Para decorar o quartinho:

For the nursery:

What we didn't buy because we didn't find it essential:

sterilizer (I just put everything in a large pot with boiling water, but now a friend lent me one for Francisquinho and I love it!)

Na verdade nem tudo é essencial, hoje sei que vários itens que constam nessas listas não precisam de ser comprados de imediato, outros nunca chegamos a usar.... algumas coisas são essenciais para umas mães e não são para outras...

Da gravidez do Francisquinho já tinha a grande maioria dos essenciais e foi bem mais fácil! Mas isso vai ficar para outro post, pois este já está grande demais :)

Não incluí aqui também o que levar na mala para a maternidade e a lista das roupas indispensáveis nesta fase, pois isso vai também ficar para outro post!

 

Actually not everything is essential, today I know that several items contained in these lists need not be purchased immediately, others never got to use .... some things are essential for a mother and not for another ...

When I was pregnant of Francisquinho I already had the vast majority of essentials and it was much easier! But that'll be for another post, because this one is already too big :)
Not included here are also what to pack for the hospital and the list of essential clothes for this stage, as this will also be on another post!
