Hoje está um dia lindo e cheio de sol. Que bom!
Até a minha orquídea se abriu para espreitar.
E como a Páscoa já está à porta fiz mais um coelhinho.

Today is a beautiful sunny day . How nice!Even my orchid opened up to peek.And as Easter is close by I made another bunny.

A semana passada ainda arranjámos um tempinho para uma actividade de Páscoa: pintar ovos.
Este ano resolvi comprar ovos de plástico, pois os verdadeiros acabam sempre por se partir. Escusado será dizer que as miúdas adoram este tipo de actividade.
Last week we even found time for an Easter activity: egg painting.This year I decided to buy plastic eggs, because the real ones always end up breaking. Needless to say, the girls love this kind of activity.


Depois de secarem fizemos uns arranjos de Páscoa.
After they dried we arranged them into Easter decorations.


O ovo com a borboleta é do ano passado e foi feito usando a técnica do guardanapo (decoupage).
The egg with the butterfly is from last year and it was done using decoupage.


Este coelhinho fofinho foi também um projecto do ano passado, feito com o passo-a-passo do blog da Betz White.
This sweet bunny was also one of last year Eater projects and it was done using Betz White's tutorial.

Cozinha renovada »» Renewed kitchen

Tenho andado muito atarefada e por isso não tenho tido tempo para vir aqui. Quando o sol começa a espreitar e a Primavera se começa a enunciar dá-me sempre vontade de fazer alterações ou renovações em casa. Na semana passada estava eu a pôr as cortinas da cozinha para lavar quando me lembrei que o melhor era fazer umas novas. Fui ao meu armário e lá tinha uns panos de cozinha que tinha comprado para fazer um saco de praia e naquele momento pareceu-me que o tecido era perfeito para umas cortinas de cozinha. Mas, claro, não me contentei com as cortinas, gostei tanto que resolvi pôr a cozinha toda a combinar.

I've been very busy and so have not had time to come here. When the sun begins to peek and Spring begins to sprung it always gives me the will to make changes or renovations at home. Last week I was putting the kitchen curtains to wash when I thought that it was better to make new ones. I went to my closet and there were some dishcloths that I had bought to make a beach bag and at that moment it seemed that the fabric was just perfect for the kitchen curtains. But, of course, not content with the curtains, I decided to make extra stuff to match.

Cadeira nova »» New chair

Comprei esta cadeira há já algum tempo (não pela sua beleza, mas pelo seu preço) com a ideia de a forrar com um tecido bonito.

Some time ago I bought this chair (not for its' beauty, but for its' price) with the idea of covering it with a nice fabric.



E foi isso que fiz ontem à tarde. A parte de baixo foi fácil, foi só fazer uma bainha e enfiar um elástico. O complicado foi fazer a parte de cima do encosto, pois tem dois parafusos atrás e eu queria que a capa fosse de tirar e pôr para puder lavar. Ao fim de bastante tempo a pensar na melhor forma lá consegui. O tecido é um dos meus favoritos da Ikea.

So that was what I did yesterday afternoon. The bottom part was easy. I just sew a seam and
slip a rubber band. The difficulty was in making the top because it has two screws behind and I wanted to be able to take the cover out to wash. After some time thinking about the best way to do it I finally got it. The fabric is one of my favourites from Ikea.




Acho que melhorou muito.
I think it was really a big improvement.
